Michael D. Easterly Appointed Advisor to Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business

Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael D. Easterly, Legacy Securities Corp.’s Chairman and co-founder, to the Robinson College Board of Advisors.  “We are pleased that Mike has chosen to further his hard work as a Past Chairman of the Georgia State University Foundation by accepting an advisory position with the Robinson College,” said Robinson Dean Fenwick Huss.  “Mike’s success as a fund raiser was only bested by his ability to serve the position with the dignity and the exemplary stewardship we strive to uphold here at the Robinson College and the University as a whole.  We are pleased for him to continue his services in a hands on capacity.”   

In addition to his advisory duties, Mike has also been appointed Chair of the Dean’s Facilities Task Force (FTF).  The FTF is charged with identifying a working site (either land or an existing building) for the proposed GSU Professional Center, which would house the Robinson College and GSU’s College of Law.  Sites in walking distance of Five Points are being actively considered. Mike said, “my tenure as Chairman of the University Foundation revealed to me the culture that Dean Huss has fostered.  The opportunity to be a part of that culture coupled with the opportunity for me to lead the effort to locate a new “state of the art” facility for the College is an exciting opportunity.”
