Biography: Christopher F. Battel

Chris is a co-founder and Director of Legacy and President of Investment and Merchant Banking. Chris oversees Legacy's investment banking activities (capital raising and merger & acquisition engagements) and is actively involved in developing client relationships and managing and executing transactions. In addition, Chris is Chief Operating Officer of Legacy Capital Partners, the firms' principal investment affiliate. Chris has extensive experience in the hospitality and technology business service industries. Chris is also a Director of Intelligent Consumer Holdings, LLC, a portfolio investment of Legacy Capital Partners, and a franchise advisory board member of Suburban Franchise Systems, a leading franchisor of extended stay hotels with 62 facilities system-wide.

Previously, Chris was Vice President of Corporate Finance at Morgan Keegan & Company, Inc., which he joined in 1990 where he was responsible for originating and executing corporate finance, merger & acquisition and merchant banking transactions. Prior to this, he was an investment banker with Prudential Securities and Thomson McKinnon Securities, an officer with Irving Trust Company and a consultant with Peterson & Company.

Chris is a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research, the Atlanta Society of Financial Analysts; The Atlanta Venture Forum and the Association for Corporate Growth.

Chris holds an MBA from Georgia State University and a BS in Finance (with Distinction) from the University of Virginia. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
